A new software release was released on July 9th, 2017. This is the latest update for Lenovo Thinkpad hardware maintenance diskette version 1.76 or later. This release includes the following updates: The ThinkVantage Active Protection System has been updated with an improved protection against viruses and other malware that requires more than one attempt at infection before it is fixed. System BIOS has been updated to version 1.02B for Lenovo ThinkPad X250, X260, T460, T460s, T550, T560 and W550 models running Windows 7 Enterprise edition and Windows 8 Pro edition. It updates the BIOS version from 1.45 to 1.51 If you have a system that uses a pre-installed operating system other than Windows 7 or Windows 10, then your system's installed version of the BIOS may be older than the release you are running on your system. This means that it may not contain the latest security patches from Microsoft . The following table lists the security updates introduced in this release. Security updates are rated critical, moderate, and minor in accordance with the severity of each issue, and may include fixes for zero-day vulnerabilities. The most severe of these issues is given a critical rating.
